sneak: alpha dog

okay, this review is about to suck. i've had a strange day, beginning good, turning weird, turning really good again with lots of sunshine and good music and turning really, really weird in the end.
watching a good movie with a couple of good friends isn't supposed to pull you down. today – and this is the crux of the sneak preview – it did.
we were presented with alpha dog, a movie... well, let's put it this way: if you want to see a movie with a pretty good cast, pretty good direction, a lousy script, horrid dialogue and fucking fucking fucking pointless story twists, go see this movie.
it entirely consisted of sex, drugs and alcohol (no, no rock'n'roll, just some stupid hip-hop soundtrack) which would have been shocking a couple of years ago but now... it was just too much of everything. too much wannabe-cool hip-hop lingo (badly translated), too much pointless and foreseeable story twists, too many freaking stupid lines ("he won't do it. no he won't." - "but what if he does?") from writing a movie script do's and don't's... too much nonsense.
perhaps it's just me and my fucked up mood right now judging the movie, perhaps it was just the wrong movie on the wrong day at the wrong time but... it was hard to sit through the entire two hours, it really was.
hargh.
