although, martin was supposed to get presents on saturday, i did, too. lots of good music.
i immediately fell for the new levellers stuff. i had tried to get 'wake the world' for quite some time but at the moment 'believers' and 'a chorus line' are my favorites.
the weakerthans are amazing as well. 'the weakerthans don't really write lyrics, they tell stories while a really good band is playing'. that's it, really.
i haven't quite managed to get to the rest - i'm especially thrilled by all the comments on the 'avenger' (by the way: i don't think that title sucks. it just sounds like one of these really bad stereotypical hollywood movies *g*) because i think i'll need some more time for that.
however: thanks so much, they made my day[s]!
on another sidenote: having money is nice, yes, but it's also tempting. just ordered three books (two pratchett, one dan brown), three cds (two david gray, one hilmar orn hilmarsson [from sigur ros]) and three dvds ('back to the future' thrice)... all that's so fucking expensive but i don't care right now. i can cope with little money but i'm not used to actually being able to spend some more. i guess it'll always be like this: if i do have money, i'll spend it quickly but i'll be contented with the usual little amount. so, let's enjoy it!
