travis
[oct 23 2003, 19:52]
after listening to the new travis-cd for quite some time (well, obviously not more than three days but still...), i can clearly say that it is... different.
when i listen to 12 memories, i often get the feeling that it's not only travis i'm listening to. sometimes it's a little badly-drawn-boy'ish, sometimes a little beatles-like. of course, you directly recognize that it's travis, but in contrast to the other two albums they've gotten a lot... rougher.
absolute favorites until now:
four really big favorites out of eleven great songs... quite good!
i've been working on my ebook again. lots of little errors were corrected and, well, generally it works much better now. i reworked some minor parts of almost every story that i only found, well, wrong when reading everything all by myself, in a really quiet place.
this is my advice for the perfect enjoyment of 'and my mind said, write':

song of the day: mofus - sex in space (we haven't had a song of the day in years, jees...)

absolute favorites until now:
- re-offender - really classic, really basic. great video, too. good thing to put out as a first single.
- somewhere else - feel bad? listen to that one. gets you up in no time.
- love will come through - pure beauty. simple and clean, still really beautiful.
- walking down the hill - 'walking down this hill tonight, i had a thought all to myself as i contemplated the moonlight'... hmmm....

- get the e-book here
- print it out
- wait until it's really dark outside
- put on some candles and make some tea (no black tea, that doesn't work as well as something fruity)
- get into a corner with some kind of calm music
- enjoy!
- tell me if the last point worked well. thanks.
