and has anyone ever heard the song 'the parting glass' by shaun davey? well, i read an interesting comment about it on an amazon-page where someone said that he had just changed his last will so that this song would be played on his funeral.
and if you'll ever hear this song, you'll possibly agree that this is no really stupid thing to do. not at all.

oh, all the money e'er i had,
i spent it in good company.
and all the harm i've ever done,
alas it was to none but me.
and all i've done for want of wit
to mem'ry now i can't recall;
so fill to me the parting glass,
good night and joy be to you all.
fill to me the parting glass
and drink a health whate'er befalls.
then gently rise and softly call
goodnight and joy be to you all!
oh, all the comrades e'er i had,
they're sorry for my going away.
and all the sweethearts e'er i had,
they'd wished me one more day to stay.
but since it falls unto my lot,
that i should rise and you should not,
i gently rise and softly call,
goodnight and joy be to you all.
but since it fell into my lot
that i should rise and you should not
i'll gently rise and softly call
goodnight and joy be to you all!
i spent it in good company.
