just a quick update about... everything as this is the weekend of our midsummernight's dream-play. we're not really showing it to the public yet, just practising a lot.
and it can be very distressing if you're hardly able to speak, sneeze all the time and feel as if someone was constandly banging a hammer onto your head! great!
what really gets on my nerves is our director. he constantly removes the last traces of good translation (we're staging the german version) and the leftovers of the english original (for example the song of the elves [see the end of this post]) and replaces them by old-fashioned, stupid-sounding translations he obviously has found behind some shelf in the dark corners of a house that has been burned down years ago - not without a reason!
well, gotta go now, it's time...
charon
you spotted snakes with double tongue
    thorny hedgehogs be not seen
newts or blind-worms do no wrong
come not near our fairy queen
    philomel with melody
    sing in our sweet lullaby
    lulla- lulla- lullaby
    lulla- lullaby.
never harm, nor spell nor charm
    come our lovely lady nigh
    so goodnight with lullaby
    weaving spiders come not here
    hence, you long-legged spinners, hence
    beetles black, approach not near
worm nor snail do not offence
    philomel with melody
